Come away

Come away to the place of rest.

Do not hear the crowd, or the din.

Listen to the stillness of the wind.

See the beauty in the tiny, tender things.

Come away from the noisy places.

Understand the cares of the laughing brook.

Rejoice in the cool shade of the trees.

Listen to the birds with no care, or agenda.

Come away from the want of fight.

Come feel the union in soft grass.

The delight of clouds and soft shapes.

The wonder of flowers fully open.

Come away and rest, delight, wonder.

Because the things of earth cycle and return.

They have deep roots in unknowing.

And we are but dust and return to it.
