We stand at the chasm of our own making.
Not seeing the way across to friends, family.
We believe in our own righteousness.
We believe they are the ones to start.
The bridge will take two though, two.
Just two to start listening, just two to drop,
All preconcieved notions of the other.
Bridge building is hard work, but so lovely.
Because it teaches us, we learn new skills.
We learn we don't have it all figured out.
We gain the other side to a village of rest.
