Gifts are a funny thing.
They are given, freely.
No expectation of return.
They should fly aloft.
Sometimes the object
Is not the present.
Being wholly involved
Helps the words be received.
Like a whole thing of
Wonder, praise bestowed.
Then the thing in hand
Is just an object and
The real gift is not held.
