Tradition

Faith of our ancestors,
 of Sarah, Hagar, Esther.
Those things which come
  from trial, loss, sorrow.
It helps remind us they too
  faced death, uncertainty.
They had faith, trust,
   hope in another day.
That it would shine through
  all the darkness given.
