Wander

i wandered into the canopy sky.
beauty surrounded me, held me.
the wonder of stars and dark,
holding me tenderly in its embrace.
wonder, awe, so much, silence.
it is joy to see the night, to be close.
it is wonder to watch the stars flee,
as the light comes up, how long?
old, ancient, then the song bursting.
love unknown, held in this space.
