Would we

Would we know the one if he came into our midst?
Or would our treacherous hearts reject once more?
Would we know, recognize the love from heaven.
Would we embrace it and the ones Christ loves,
Or would we miss the point once again, sinner.
The best we can do is to try and walk this faith.
Try and show others this Christ we profess to know.
Or it is all for not and our faith is but a breath.
Gone in an instant, carried on the whims of rightness.
