What is your hope?
Is it in things which bring no joy.
Is it in others who disappoint.
Is it in the promise of things yet to be.
Where is your joy?
Is it in the buying of gifts.
Is it in the lights and strings.
Is it in the time spent with family.
Where is your peace?
Is it in the hustle and bustle lost.
Is it in hearing warring words.
Is it in the silence spent alone.
Where is your love?
Is it focused on those left out.
Is it in the stranger to be welcomed.
Is it in the way you give something else.
Where is Christ?
Is he in the bright package.
Is he in the trimmed tree.
Is he with those who have no shelter.
Is he waiting for us to come and discover
All which can be Christmas once again.
To find the hope, joy, peace, and love
Finding Christ in the midst of our time.
Is it in things which bring no joy.
Is it in others who disappoint.
Is it in the promise of things yet to be.
Where is your joy?
