Spooks

Goblins, spooks, scariest,
  princesses, heroes, bad guys
It's Halloween and all are
  our walking tonight.
Pumpkins, candies, tricks
  or treats, cats, brooms
Just for the fun of it,
  yet we are not afraid.
We confront fear with
  laughter in the haunted house.
We stand closest with
  our own fears this night.
So have the fun, scream
  and laugh, hallows eve
Is meant to be for all
  of us to know how close
We are to the one thing
  we hold away, death.
