What do you seek?

What were you hoping to find?
A tomb with a body, it would have
Been so much easier. Instead it is
The unexpected risen Jesus, and so
Things change, they can't remain
In fear and tucked away. They go.

What were you hoping to find?
A warmth such as we have become
Accustomed to, permeating our
Senses to dull and not do anything.
Lay back and don't believe, doubt,
Let it be as it is and don't surrender.

What did you expect to find?
The same things you have found
In your memory of a past which
Doesn't exist her and now. Remember
You will though and base all your
Future on this one memory, gone.

What did you seek? Are you
Really wanting to find a future?
To press on ahead? Or are you too
Bound to what you want and expect?
Do you seek the risen, do you seek
Change, do you seek the future?
