It wasn't there a few weeks ago,
it came right through.
Skelton branches trying to grab
and cling to it, yet it shone.
Now it comes through dappled
hues of green, budding.
Blocking some of the intensity,
making it color like stain
Glass the leaves coming on.
never clear now, shaded
By the new fence of spring,
daylight still comes
Slowly creeping through
the tangles, awakening.
it came right through.
Skelton branches trying to grab
and cling to it, yet it shone.
Now it comes through dappled
hues of green, budding.
Blocking some of the intensity,
making it color like stain
Glass the leaves coming on.
never clear now, shaded
By the new fence of spring,
daylight still comes
Slowly creeping through
the tangles, awakening.
