Walking down the mountain

Coming down the mountain,
  Jesus chose not to stay,
Elevated and aloof from the
  cares of everyday.
Jesus didn't remain with those
  from before, no he came
Down, down into our lives,
  down into our hurts,
And ultimately down where
  we hurt one another.
Jesus chose to live here,
  to heal here, to live here.
Because he wanted to show us
  how to deal with this life.
We too can choose to be the
  agents of healing, forgiveness,
Life well-lived, we just have to
  choose it also. So live,
Live in the places where it is
  darkest and spread light.
