God,
Please help us to know we can only become great by being a blessing to others. When we bless we forget our divisions. When we bless we forget we are enemies. When we bless we forget we are different. When we bless we reach out beyond what little we can be and become a healing and reconciling force. This is what the world needs now. This is what we each need now. We are brothers and sisters on a long road, which is shortly gone with our small length of days. May we honor that each of us is a gift from You, the Creator of all things. Help us to live up to the legacy we have been left by the great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. So we may dare to take his words to heart and do the hard work of love in this nation and every nation. Amen.
