How long must we endure
  indiscriminate killing
All in the name of freedom
  freedom to take from
Someone else their life,
  love, heart, when will we
Wake up and see the
  differences we systemically
Emphasize, not reaching out
  with understanding but with
The refrain of you are
  different and deserve to be
Treated that way, how long
  will our cries go up for
Freedom, justice, and peace
  never quite reaching an end
How long, how high, how much
  do we have to reach before we
Discover the key lies
  in each one of us and
Not in some miraculous way
  born in the sky, reach out
Touch one another's scars
  and help in healing
