When the world goes mad
do we keep our heads
Are we caught in the madness
can we still remember
Who we are and whose we are
do we remember to use
Kindness abundantly, to see others
to walk with one another
Bothered in spirit by what is
seeming to come
Do we value life, or is it an enemy
we must remember
We are dust, and to dust we
return, what madness
Is not new or unseen before
can we ever learn
Can we hold the tender way
of peace and light
do we keep our heads
Are we caught in the madness
can we still remember
Who we are and whose we are
do we remember to use
Kindness abundantly, to see others
to walk with one another
Bothered in spirit by what is
seeming to come
Do we value life, or is it an enemy
we must remember
We are dust, and to dust we
return, what madness
Is not new or unseen before
can we ever learn
Can we hold the tender way
of peace and light
