You know it is there just beyond
  the dazzling brightness
You can't see it clearly or
  comprehend what it
Truly is, it is a shadow imagined
  not one defined
It is the suggestion of doubt
  not the sure path
It is transformed from clarity
  to a blinding light
Found on roads or mountaintops
  from which no one recovered
They instead step back in fear
  or plunged into the uncertainty
To find you don't disappear
  but are changed within
