Psalm 1

Happy are those who have not listened to the powerful
  nor lingered with a bad influence,
  nor sat with those who ridicule.

They chose instead to meditate on God,
  and they question God day and night.

They are like a big tree by the stream,
  bearing beautiful nuts or fruit or flower;
  everything they do is blessed.

It is not so with those who chose to be mean;
  they are like dead leaves that the wind blows.

They shall not stand with the upright when judgment comes,
  nor the wrong doer seek council from the meditators.

For God knows the way of those who seek God,
  but the way of those who want to do wrong will fail.
