Love your enemies

Matthew 5:43-48

Jesus tells us, clearly plainly
  love our enemies
Not just friends or neighbors
  that is easy, anyone
Can do the loving of those
  we hold close and dear
But love the ones we disagree
  with, the ones we don't see
Eye to eye, the ones we don't
  want to touch or talk to
The ones we have labeled as
  against us instead of for us
Because God sends the sun
  for those who are good
And those who are not, God
  sends life-giving rain
To both the right and wrong
  why can you not send
Welcome, goodness to both to
  isn't this our call
