Don't ever lose your sense of wonder
to look at the world with enchantment
To see the strings of diamonds on the
dewy grass, little globes ready to drink
Or the enchanted strings of pearls in each
and every web strung in the glow of sunshine
Or the door open, yawning in greeting
to explore the unchartered cave of gold
Or the sound of the heron as it is disturbed
and flies from its hunting ground
Or the morning symphony of birds
awakening the world with their song
Or the beaver slapping its tail in response
to your invasion of its realm
Slap hello back, take time to listen
wonder at the shape of the flower
Breath deeply, let it enter your being
and remember your Creator
to look at the world with enchantment
To see the strings of diamonds on the
dewy grass, little globes ready to drink
Or the enchanted strings of pearls in each
and every web strung in the glow of sunshine
Or the door open, yawning in greeting
to explore the unchartered cave of gold
Or the sound of the heron as it is disturbed
and flies from its hunting ground
Or the morning symphony of birds

Slap hello back, take time to listen
