Lost

Where did it go
  the self-confidence
The believing in
  yourself with abandon
Growing up robs us
  of daring
Running like a child
  free of the fall
Laughing like we
  don't know the tears
Yet to come, climbing
  like we will never
Break a bone and
  break our will
To explore freely
  instead we read
The books of explorers
  far away, some who've died
We think how foolish
  maybe we aero the fools
