Are you the one? We read along like it isn't amazing
Not caught in the wonder or the danger of the story
Yet before the word was set down the question rings
Can it be, or do we wait, in waiting we have tamed it
Not allowing the transformation to happen within
Lost in lists of rules, or only what we see, not expectant
Nothing gives us surprise, awakens our hearts and souls
Yet this is no tame words on a page, or dead history
This is supposed to be transforming, life giving
A danger to those who pick it up and believe
Acting on the dangerous, scandalous love
Which changes the whole world, if we dare
