Held

Between one world and the next
  holding on, praying, hoping
Fighting for this world and the next
  unrest, willful, our own way
Then pleas of forgiveness
  will God accept this broken
Life, lived and yet the cross
  shows what is broken is
Sacred, a light to all who dare
  to see the brilliance of the
Sky illumined with our prayers
  between us held in offering
