Awaken from the dark soft night
With its lull of complicity, denial
Of the dawning that is coming,
Hidden in the expectation of
Others whose voices denied.

Awaken from the deep sleep of
Expecting another to do and take
Care of it all, it is not ours, yet
It is ours to make a dent in, to
Encourage the change growing.

Awaken from the edge of dreams
Because they are possible, true
Not to be ignored and pushed off
As something for another time,
Another day, the time is now.
