Wrap us in the deep black velvet of the night sky
With stars sprinkled round the cloak of warmth
Enveloping the world in peace and unity, a clarity
Of mind in deepest silence, with the night sounds
Of things unseen, a mystery of the night making
Its way to our very soul, touching the Creator's
Divine company of depth in mercy, love, and
The unknown face because we are all God's
Children and the night reveals this as we cannot
See our way to judge, every mark erased and only
The depths of soul reached, the Divine mystery
Opened for us in the night we dare to walk
