Traveling

Walking, praying ever nearer to the cross we wander
First a meal, than a wash, now a watch and pray some
More than the day of sorrow and pain sweeps down,
And not just that but the uncertainty of it all, the ability
Of an oppressor to do violence of any kind to you, in
Any way they choose because they can and you can't
Now we walk in the days of fear and hiding with a few
Greats among them, who conquered fear and came to
Ask for Jesus' body, for the women who bothered to
Come to the tomb, brave souls who did not fear the
Oppressor but chose to claim Jesus in spite of the
Watch list they would be added to as traitors do we
Really truly walk this way, daring beyond all to claim?
