"An animal, an animal," the child cries, blood pours
As the parasite is taken off, a sign of sucking out
Of life, living off another, entwined and dangerous
If not balanced and used properly, taking life
Where it is not offered, embedded in the skin
Disengagement comes with the cost of losing
Your own blood down the side, not clotting
Freely flowing another side effect of taking away
Can there be a union anymore deadly
Is there any way to use and discard, will
You always be a bitter taker and not see the
Chance of balancing, giving and not taking
Could it be you lost your own life's blood
