Mistrust

When do we throw away mistrust?

We have protection after protection

Claiming that we are only keeping

Ourselves safe and all we do is build

Walls higher and higher until we only

See the other through the words of

Rhetoric and not as a person, this 

Only fosters unforgiveness, hate, war

And no peace in sight because our

Eyes no longer see the way clearly

We just surrender to the invisible barrier

In front of us, if we want peace we must

Push the walls, we must question and

We must see the other as our sister,

Brother, mother, father as part of the 

Human family, Gods family
