It was there all along, just hidden inside
Like a shell it was protected from the world
So judgment would be held far from, so
There was no emotion without permission
Yet Love took hold of me, deeply moving
Beyond the walls and shells erected as a
Barrier to the world, and when you are
Grabbed by love's deep gift you are moved
Beyond, into your wounded soul to risk
Being wounded again, because the cost
Is too great in hiding and denying we
Don't live, move, breath, or have our being
When we stay wrapped up within, freedom
Is scary, yet love demands it, with eyes
Wide open we jump and sometimes fall
Into the pit, yet the arms of love are even
There, we are not separated from its firm
Embrace all we need to do is recognize
The bounds that have caught us up safe
