I am not worthy for you to come into my dwelling.
We are not worthy to gather up the crumbs from
Under your table, but you always treat us as worthy
There is none worthy, not one and that is the point
We all should feel unworthy or of the same worth
Yet we label by color and gender and age and where
You grew up as worthy or unworthy. What you know
How you learned, how you talk, is it my language?
Unworthy is the label we like to hand out to others
Unworthy is the pain of shut out, locked up and
Kept out of polite society. Unworthy is all our labels
When we don't express love, when we don't hunger
For justice, when we don't realize we are unworthy
Yet still of worth
