Halloween

Today we welcome the dark
Waiting for little ones to ring
Handing out candy, celebrating
The night and things that scare
It makes us confront our fears
With laughter and give out
Treats to those who would
Take our life we are not always
Left in the dark on our own
Nor is the dark always discouraging
So remember this night when
The darkness comes and celebrate
This night where the fear doesn't
Consume and we can laugh in
The face of our worst fears
