Divide

We speak of the divide in laughter and in seriousness
Testing to see where the dialogue leads us, it is not
Fragile because there has already been a level of
Trust established between us, this is why there is
Laughter and you recognize that and say it out loud
We struggle with forgiveness and whether or not
We have to evaluate the words someone says
We understand a little better why each is protective
Knowing a door has been opened between worlds
What is true we boldly seek in order to see a glimpse
Face to face, knowing all of what separates and
Praying for the day when we see God's image
