We walk by faith not by sight, Paul tells us.
Do we truly walk forward, daring to go blindly
into an uncertain future, wary of the ground
We stand on and who surrounds us.
Walking by faith is a letting go
of all that holds us back
Trusting in arms that will hold us
should we fall, or paths to guide us onward
should we stray. These are not tangible
signs. They are the walk of faith.
Walking forward into unknown territory
the mystery of God, praying not to
fall over the precipice, but oh what
a fall into everlasting arms
even if it wasn't the best step.
God is still there before and behind,
below and above, watching and believing
We can make the faith journey.
