What change did they see?
What inspired them to listen?
A woman,
the writer even points out the wonder of the disciples
because Jesus was talking to a woman.
Just being a woman is an offense
and here, at the beginning
of the story
we have a woman who is witness
to the One who has come
to change everything.
In the process Jesus changes her so visibly,
so deeply
that the whole town follows to see
Who it could be,
who made such a difference
in just a short dialogue.
Changing this woman forever
And changing every woman
who chooses to hear
That the change within matters
and God does speak
through us and uses us
as a witness.
