In this culture we tend to think we are our own. We do everything by ourselves and this is just not true. When we do things well we do them together in community. This is so counter cultural and so a part of the church.
Jesus did not work alone, but called 12 disciples to journey with him. Paul writes about us being all different vital parts of the Body of Christ. We as a church pray together, feast together, struggle for the community together, feed people, minister to others in their time of need so that no one is alone.
It is important for us to realize we are not alone in this world. We all yearn for relationships and community. May we connect with one another in rich ways to be different members in the Body of Christ.
