Do you ever turn aside from the path and notice God? I mean how often do we slow down to notice God in our midst? We are all called by God to take notice in our daily lives. Most of our lives are so fast we don't slow down enough to notice.
One day, when my daughter was 2 years, old we were having lunch and I noticed another mom and child doing the same. She was on her phone the whole time she was there. I felt bad for the mom because she is missing time with her child, which slips away all too fast. Those are precious days.
Take time today to turn aside from the hustle and bustle and take notice of the gifts of God around you. It may be a conversation in the store, a beautiful thing in nature, or time with a friend. The thing is they are all precious and they don't last long.
