Depth

The depths of God's love are unexplored. 

We say we understand, we most often are only playing on the shore. 

We fall short of truly understanding how much it requires of us. 

A surrender to the undertow where we fear we will be swept out to unchartered depths. 

Fear keeps us held to the belief of a limitation. We can only wade in the safe shallows. 

With the creatures we know and can see before us. 

Enjoying the warmth of safety in our small lagoon. 

If we could fully surrender to the pull and flood. 

Have ourselves ripped away to unknown waters,

We would find the depth, height, breadth and be lost in the imaginings of all that is possible. 

Lost in the current of God's love.
