The names are named, we find ourselves
hidden, buried within the text.
Bartered, given, enslaved, no voice, no choice
and what does this mean?
Because if we dig, we find the gems forgotten.
a woman amongst the men,
Given the promise of descendants as rich a
tapestry as Abraham, same.
A woman who is the mother of Israel,
dark in tone and important, named.
Women who come to a tomb and run to tell,
the witnesses of the gospel.
We are there, we just haven't been given voice,
tell it out, let it ring, sing of us, name us.
