Lost

Some lost point,
  not recognizing the stars,
   the pathway forward.

We each try for ours,
  our own compass point,
    our own way to begin.

Yet the captain did it
  for the whole ship,
   for the crew in his care.

It was not meant for us,
  to try alone, to do as one,
   no, it is for the community.

A community stronger
  because it searched together, 
    and found the light shining.
