Quiet resistence

In the dead of night,
  just before the dawn,
Comes the sound,
  haunting through
The darkness, awakening
  that which was asleep.
It had always been
  there, just waiting
For an invitation,
to come, to be, to do.
As much a part of you
  just dormant until,
The quiet night summoned
  it into being, come, come.
Bring it forth into the
  world around you,
This awakening desire
  to set straight, build up,
Plant new things, in the
  face of a world resistant.
