Into the depths
  we leap off the edge.
Trying not to think
  of all the dangers.
Laughter, wonder
  joy pursues us as we
Let go and drop,
  from the ledge where
We are most
  comfortable.
"Look at that
  little girl," someone
Shouts as she drops
  from the highest.
Daring to plunge,
  daring is what it is.
A joy on a summer
  afternoon, a lesson
In letting go.
  because I cannot
Keep these young
  ones forever.
They and I have
  to learn to let go.
Plunge ahead into
  life, don't be afraid.
