Give us a care

Give us a care to reach out beyond,
to see you outside of us.
To know you are present in the faces
of those served, of those lost.
Give us a care to welcome one another,
to a table so broad we cannot see.
We aren't able to see clearly those
  who we thought were our
Enemies, instead we only see the bounty
of what can be when we care.
Care to know one another, care to listen,
care to see not our differences,
Care to see you in the faces of those
  gathered and know your love.
