Prayer

Reaching put beyond all the edges
  of what has past and what is
An encounter in the Wal Mart,
  hands held, unsaid prayers
Pass in touch and hugs and tears,
  because of love which binds us.
Then onto work and unanswered
  questions come with no answer
Except to be held and prayed over,
  "will we eat tonight?" another
Prayer said as we face the rising tide
  of need, when we have enough
Will we be able to be sated and
  turn to those like these?
Pray once more for well which is
  here and all that could be
