Instruments of peace

Can we be these fine tuned instruments
Lending a hand in harmony and peace
Not throwing up our hands and saying,
"It's not us, not our turn, we can't do it"
Can we listen to the melody and play
A harmony in tune, can we play the
Intricate chords of lament, can we
Sound the discord and bring it back
To unity divine and sweet because
In this one act we show the hard bumps
Life brings and play them to resolution
Instead of leaving the discord hanging
Pleading from every ear to hear a note
Which brings it back home, it is truly
An interconnectedness we live in if we
Truly listen to the worlds song and join in
