Long ago and far away
the stars sang to the night
Calling any who woukd listen
to the sacred song to follow
Created in the depths of hope
singing of a new creation
A babe in simplicity hidden
amongst the animals
New and yet such an old soul
such a fragile beginning
Entrusted to our care
can we feel the weight
Love's song bestowed to us
to care for the broken world
With the simplest of gifts
