My heart yearns to stay out here

  even in the rain

Washed, in touch with peace

  the birds flight and wing

One with earth, breathing 

  in and out 

      PEACE

In a world which is restless

  divided, hateful words

Released doing violence

  listen, breath in the depths

Walk in the tears dropping

  slowly to the ground

Hitting but not striking

  feeding the yearning soil

So life may come with the beat

  left behind in cold and dark

      SLEEP

Oh love divine fill and rain 

  on me, in me call

To life that which is dormant 

  sleeping from rest, hidden

    because of the hateful words said

Love is still there, kindness in the depths

  cry and release life in breaking open
