Loving God, may we not be afraid to show our bonds of friendship with one another. May we find ways to name the hurt racism causes all of us as a church family. May we strengthen the bonds of our fellowship. We lift up the people of Charleston, South Carolina, particularly the survivors, friends, and family of those shot and killed at Emmanuel AME. We lift our prayers for justice to roll down like waters and cleanse us, release us from thoughts of revenge and turn us always to your arms of mercy and forgiveness. Make us strong as a church family to confront the days ahead with your grace. In your holy name we pray. Amen.
