The eve of a visit with men bearing gifts
Love entwined in the offering of reaching out
To complete strangers on a promise written
In the night sky, burning with the brightness
Of its new birth mirroring the earths expectancy
Peace, hope, joy, and God come down in
Wee fragile babe entrusted to the care of humans
Sometimes we fail to take good care and yet
The trust existed in the strangers to have faith
To listen to this unknown God and give warning
To protect the new bringer of love to the world
