We are all of us pilgrims on a sacred journey
We just look for different signs, signs
We are on the right road, that we journey
Not in vain across this earth, but have left
A mark, made a meaning. We pilgrim
Toward an unknown marker, each step
Recklessly placed in faith, knowing
We are just trying our best, somehow
Praying for the star that will lead us to
Purpose. Then there are those who journey
With the purpose known, childlike in
Faith the example to us all of grace.
We wonder how we could not have known
The journey to be so simple, the love so
Present, and the blessing so true that
Not even death consumes its bright burning light.
