Dance

It dances on the water moving with the breeze
First far then near then round in a circle
To it's own pattern and rhythm never to the one
You think it might take spreading over the lake
Like a blanket never resting always moving
Until it disappears with the morning warmth
Unless you sit and watch the mist you would never
Know it was there that it existed in this dance
Over the water thicker and light moved by it's
Own currents by the breath of the wind
The Spirit moves in us, through us, over us
In much the same way it takes our attention
To notice what is being breathed into life
Which direction we might take next yet if
We don't take the time to notice where it has
Appeared we will never know where it might lead
Where we might join in it's dance and cover
Those who need it the most
