Justice

I can let you go now. 

I don't have to see justice,

Or revenge, or retribution. 

I learned to let it go

because justice lives 

In my freedom to choose

To choose to forgive you

and all that has happened

To let go of the hurts and loses

because they don't allow growth

but bind and chain me to a past

I would rather not become. 

This is what happens when 

I dwell there. So instead

I free myself by choosing to

Forgive never forgetting the past

that has made me. Knowing 

more than ever my story, exploring

Each place where fear lived and

Finding it can't hurt me anymore. 

By this others know my story too. 

Have even lived parts and I pray

Have become free too. 

Free to truly live.
