Night

The sun sets, the night noises rise
Even the wind lifts it's greeting
As the soft chorus chants it's way
To ease the load of the day
Singing it's lullaby for the weary world
Enveloped in the deft noise, the chill air,
The lights dot the distance with their own tale
Softly lighting each path and way to rest
Turning down the dew of welcome renewal
To all who are weary, all who need a place
To rest tired heads, arm, body before
The awakening sun, which warms us to busyness
Toward renewed rest.
